We are looking for multi-skilled candidates with a quantitative background for the position of GIS Analyst. GIS Analysts are responsible for discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping, developing mapping applications and tools and managing a digital library of geographic maps in various file types, among other duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing spatial data through the use of mapping software.
  • Discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data.
  • Designing digital maps with geographic data and other data sources.
  • Creating “shapefiles” to merge topographical data with external data by layering external data over a topographical map.
  • Producing maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data.
  • Developing mapping applications and tools.
  • Performing data munging and cleaning to convert data into its desired form.
  • Produce reports on geographic data utilizing data visualizations.

Qualifications

  • 0-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Surveying, Engineering or related field.
  • Working knowledge of database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Fluent in Greek and English.

  • Prepares and delivers presentation to clients and investors.
  • Participates in teams that undertakes specific projects and/or clients and works.

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration or an eagerness to explore this sector.
  • Analytical skills, financial/math skills and a keen sense of numbers.
  • Strong communication, analytical and data organisation/interpretation skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Fluent in Greek and English.
