We are one of the fastest growing fintech start-ups, bringing innovation and transparency to the financial sector. WiRE is based in Nicosia, Cyprus and plans to expand to Athens, Greece by end 2022 and beyond in 2023.

WiRE’s big idea is to assist real estate investors, financiers, insurers, and corporates marketing to households, turn information into better actions at any scale by being able to home-in and profile individual properties across Europe. We do this by collecting, collating and analysing data from multiple, previously disparate, sources (e.g. financial transactions, satellite photography, hydrology and geology maps etc.) and making it available through an array of APIs and consumer products.

Our customers, ranging from insurance agencies, to banks, real estate investors and developers, use our data to make more informed decisions, increase revenue and reduce operational costs.

The role 

We’re looking for a junior backend engineer to join our team. Match our engineering culture with your passion for flawless software, your vision for clean code, your eagerness for bleeding edge technologies and your ambition to evolve. Our stack consists of Python, Postgres, ElasticSearch and Redis. We use Heroku to manage our deployments and Docker to ensure consistency and productivity for our developers. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop, test, and support production software 
  • Apply your experience and knowledge to solve both common and complex issues. 
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to achieve your daily or long-term goals 
  • Communicate with non-tech colleagues to support their requests and explain the product in their language 
  • Keep yourself updated about new technologies that could help you, the team, or our product. 

Qualifications 

Must have: 

  • Experience with Python and SQL

  • Keen to learn new skills and gain experience with technologies at a rapid pace

The role

The Senior Real Estate Analyst will work with financial institutions, corporations and insurance companies individuals to review asset positioning and performance and to develop valuations reports and business plans. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with and carries out real estate valuations and feasibility/viability studies.
  • Analyses comparable sales data and other information relating to specific real estate assets and portfolios.
  • Builds financial models (in Excel and/or other tools) and performs related analysis.
  • Understands and is kept updated on changes to the legal framework and regulations including inter-alia town planning regulations, tenancy laws, etc
  • Prepares and delivers presentation to clients and investors.
  • Assists with and carries our business development to generate awareness about the company and new business.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Civil Engineering, Town Planning, Architecture.
  • Strong communication, analytical and data organisation/interpretation skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Fluent in Greek and English.

We’re looking for a Data Analyst who will work with a wider team of real estate experts, financial analysts, and software developers, to provide advice and insight to financial institutions, corporations and private equity funds, in order to improve/create innovative products and services. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases.
  • Filters and “cleans” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
  • Locates and defines new process improvement opportunities.
  • Develops and implements data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Interprets data, analyses results using statistical techniques.
  • Identifies patterns and trends in data sets.
  • Builds financial models (in Excel and/or other tools) and performs related financial analysis.
  • Prepares and delivers presentation to clients and investors.
  • Participates in teams that undertakes specific projects and/or clients and works.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Management, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or an eagerness to explore this sector.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication, analytical and data organisation/interpretation skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Fluent in English (Greek an add-on).
